It may seem strange to think about this at such an early stage, but this journey is about business, so pricing is essential: A company that sells software for $49 a month and a company that sells software for $499 a month are two completely different types of business.
According to The 2022 State of Independent SaaS, most companies similar to the one I’m trying to build offer base or lowest‑cost pricing tier for $20–$49 a month.
As silly as it may sound, in this situation, I want my software product to cost at least $50 a month.
